An online election was held on 9 February. Larisa V. Algasheva, head of the Center for Work with Foreign Students, Anna V. Olkhovaya, director of the Volunteer Center, Timur Romanov, chairman of the Joint Student Council, as well as KubSAU students attended the event.

According to the results of the vote, Issam Bukhanif, a master’s degree student, was appointed as chairman of the International Friendship Council. The elected leader outlined the Council's programme for the coming period and answered questions from the participants.
